Welcome to Amokura Glass
We are a glass-blowing studio and glass art gallery in Rotorua, New Zealand. Run by artist Heather Kremen, our studio produces high-quality decorative and functional glass art. While we specialize in blown glass, we are passionate about art glass in all its forms and our facilities include studios for fused or cast glass, flameworking and our coldworking.
Our hot shop is open to the public from Friday to Monday and you can find us working with the molten glass from 10 am - 4 pm during those days

Amokura Glass specializes in one-of-a-kind blown glass objects. We create a range of functional, decorative, and cultural works. We offer a range of introductory workshops to make an object out of hot glass. Choose a Paperweight, Pumpkin, or Tumbler. Or try all three!
These workshops give you a chance to experience glass-making firsthand and walk away with a unique piece of glass art that you’ve created yourself.
Each workshop takes around 45 minutes to complete (although the glass needs to be left overnight to cool down safely). You will customize the design of your piece and then work one-on-one with our artists to make it!
As a thank you to Rotorua residents for their continued support of our studio, we have a local discount on all our workshops. We also offer group discounts on bookings of 4 or more people. Get in touch with us directly for group bookings and any other questions.
